Off plan property is one of property investing's most powerful means to make a profit. It's also one of the riskiest, but the massive opportunity that is going to present itself from 2009 until at least 2016 here in the United Kingdom is this:
- The global financial crisis of 2008-2009 has in part caused a massive shortfall in the amount of new build stock on the UK market,
- More and more developers will step back in the market to fill the undimished (and ever-rising) demand. In order to secure loans to start building, they will be willing to incentivise off plan property sales as soon as possible,
- As the market starts to move again, everything with good solid fundamentals will move upward in value too. The earlier you get in, the better and less risky the deals, and the sooner you'll be able to take out a profit.
The opportunity right now is to buy property at rock bottom prices with an upward trending market on your side.

I find there are two types of investors: those who like off-plan and those who don't. Those who don't, don't for one of two reasons:
- They don't understand the off-plan strategy and how to fit it to the market
- They once bought property off the plan and got burned, but don't understand why... (see point number 1)
The reality is that off-plan is the most profitable, easiest way to make money in the property market, but ONLY when you know what you're doing.

I'll also explain why timing is crucial and why specifically the end of 2009 / beginning of 2010 is shaping up as the start of an enormous opportunity for those who are in the market.
